How To Schedule A Post On Facebook (Easy Guide)

Schedule Facebook posts to manage your social media content calendar more efficiently. Scheduling posts can help ensure your branded posts are consistent and stay on top of your posting schedule. This allows you to avoid long gaps between posts effortlessly.

You can schedule posts on Facebook in two ways:

  • Naturally. This method uses Facebook's built-in release scheduler.

  • Use a third-party scheduler. Publishing tools like Hootsuite can be used to schedule cross-platform social media posts. Advanced features such as batch scheduling are available.

How to Schedule Posts on Facebook Using Facebook Business Suite

To schedule a Facebook message or post, you need a Facebook Page.

(Not yet? Learn how to create a Facebook business page in just a few steps.)

Once your Page is set up, follow this step-by-step guide on how to schedule future posts.

Step 1: Write your contribution

With Facebook open on your timeline, click Pages in the upper left corner of the dashboard to navigate to your business's Facebook page.

Then navigate to Business Suite in the menu.

Now click on create post.

Step 2: Preview the post

In the Placement section, check where you want your post to be published. You can post it on both your page and the linked Instagram account.

As you write your post, you can preview how it will look on desktop and mobile. If there are any issues, please make changes to optimize the post. Now is the time to verify that the link preview is being fetched correctly.

Step 3: Choose a date and time

If you don't want to publish your post right away, click the arrow next to the "Publish" button at the bottom of the page.

Then select the date and time you want your post to be published.

Finally, click Save.

Step 4: Plan Your Contribution

Click the blue Schedule Post button and voila! Your post is now in the post queue. That means it can go live on the day and time you set.
