As gaming consoles become a living and bedroom staple across the UK, more people are switching to the PlayStation to watch the latest episodes of the latest TV shows or watch the Office for a tenth time.

To follow programs like Neighbors, The Gadget Show or Peppa Pig, you must download the My5 app to watch all the latest Channel 5 content. But is it possible on playstation?

Can I use My5 on PS5?

At the time of writing, the My5 app is currently not available on the PlayStation 5 console. That means you won't be able to watch the latest Channel 5 shows on your shiny new console.

The My5, such as the BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and All4, will not be available on the PlayStation 5 at launch, and Sony's newer consoles currently only support a select group of multimedia apps, including Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube.
Neither Sony nor Channel 5 have currently announced when the My5 app or any other UK streaming service will launch on the PlayStation 5.

Unlike its successor, the My5 app is available for PlayStation 4. You can download the app from the PlayStation Store here. If you're concerned about your PS4 storage space, the My5 app only takes up 34.47MB.

Unlike most PlayStation 4 games, the My5 app and other media applications available on the PS4 do not support backwards compatibility with the PlayStation 5, making this one of the select few areas where the PS4 currently outperforms the PS5. Take that, scalpers.
